(Ironton, MN) — The Ironton City Council meeting from Wednesday, February 2nd included rezoning a local business and updates from the Planning and Zoning Commission from the Ironton City Hall Council Chambers.

Luke Lundquist, co-owner of CYKEL, discussed the needs for his business to get a full liquor license and to reclassify their property to general business.

Final approval of the reclassification for a special meeting with Planning & Zoning on March 8th at 6pm with the liquor license being approved. In the recap from Planning & Zoning, talks were held adjusting their meeting schedule.

The Zoning meeting schedule will officially meet on a quarterly basis, with a change in the bylaws for P&Z members to serve two-year terms and a subcommittee of the Planning portion being formed was approved.

Further discussions were held on short term rentals, which is going to be elaborated more at an upcoming special meeting.

Brad Miller, President of the Cuyuna Lakes PickleBall Association, provided an update on fundraising and grant writing for the group.

The Ironton City Council will meet again on February 16th, 2021 at 6pm.
