(Isle, MN) — Notices for upcoming General Election Council seats, ordinance revisions, and special use permits highlighted the Isle City Council meeting from Tuesday, June 14th.

In our conversation with Isle City Clerk Jamie Hubbell noted Travis Johnson, candidate for Mille Lacs County Sheriff, spoke before the Council.

Conversations were held on the notice for open Council seats for the November General Election and rescheduling the July Council meeting.

Ordinances for the Water Meter Fine and Install Fees and Amending Mayor’s Term were also discussed at the meeting.

The Council also approved Special Event Permits for 435 Lake Street West and 405 4th Avenue South for Airbnb. During Department reports, The Airport Committee introduced a new member and mentioned their plans going forward.

That report transitioned into reviews of the lease for the Hangar and classification of storage space.

Hubbell also talked about City Hall being closed for Primary & General Election Judges Training on July 12th.

The Isle City Council also approved a Liquor License Renewal for Isle Bowl and Pizza, renewed the Beamish Trespass Order, and established the Fire Damages Escrow Account.

The Isle City Council will next meet on Tuesday, July 12th at 6pm from the Isle City Hall Council Chamber.’
