Itasca State Park gearing up for fall
It’s officially the fall season at Itasca State Park, and one of the best things to do at the park in the fall, is see all the different fall colors once the leaves start to fall. Itasca State Park Naturalist Connie Cox says if you would like to visit the park to see these beautiful colors, the Minnesota DNR has an online resource that can help you pick the perfect time to visit.
While it varies every year, Cox also gives us an estimate on when Itasca State will be in peak for fall colors.
A lot of state parks across the state start to close up their facilities for the year once Labor Day passes, but Cox is happy to announce that Itasca State Park is open year round, and all their facilities will remain open for a while longer.
More information about park programs and facilities can be found on the Itasca State Park webpage on the Minnesota DNR website at dnr.state.mn.us.
