The Northern Cass Jaguars in 30 games played this year have only allowed more than 3 runs just four times. Not surprisingly, they leaned on their pitching to get them through the quarterfinals at state. Trey Husar, Jacob Ose and Cody Wadeson combined for seven shutout innings in a 7-0 victory over the Lions.

Husar, the D1 commit to South Dakota State took the ball first and shoved 2 1/3 innings, giving up just one hit before being removed after 42 pitches. Sam Johnson then turned to Jacob Ose to eat the bulk of the innings in the quarterfinals game to save his ace for later in the tournament, going 3 2/3 innings before turning it over to Cody Wadeson with the 7-run lead already in hand.

The Jaguars took advantage of extra outs handed to them, scoring multiple runs off Lions errors. Carter Wadeson stamped the victory with a 2-run double in the bottom of the 6th inning to extend the lead to 7-0.

The Jaguars earn a date with the #2 seed Thompson Tommies at 4:30pm on Friday.
