Kelly Thronson Memorial BBQ returns this weekend

The Kelly Thronson Memorial BBQ returns to the Norman County Fairgrounds this year, and over twenty cooks are expected to battle it out for the best prize of it all, bragging rights. While the food may be the main attraction for many, event representative John Hintz says the ultimate purpose of the BBQ is to honor the memory of its namesake Kelly Thronson. 

Hintz says the event has also been honoring the life of one of their past board members Mark Gordon through their People’s Choice competition. 

That being said, Hintz invites the public out to the fairgrounds on Saturday to partake in the people’s choice, and cast their vote.
