Ada, MN — The Rural Enrichment and Counseling Headquarters, or REACH, will once again be teaingm up with R & J Broadcasting to raise money for one of their great programs. The REACH Radiothon will be held on Tuesday, September 27th from 10am until 3pm on 106.5 KRJB and will feature a number of guests from REACH Staff and board members. REACH Ambassador Peggie Chisholm says this year’s focus for the Radiothon will be on supporting their backpack program.
REACH collaborates with the Great Plains Food Bank, North Country Food Bank, and Feeding America to provide children in Hawley, Ulen-Hitterdal School Districts, Glyndon-Felton Elementary School, Ada-Borup-West, and Norman County East Elementary School with food to take home and consume over the weekend each Friday during the school year.
As part of the program, children receive nutritious, kid-friendly, and shelf stable items such as juice, cereal, soup, fruit, granola bars, and easy to prepare individual meals.
