Lake Park-Audubon Breaks Ground on Elementary Project
Audubon, MN — The Lake Park-Audubon School District officially broke ground on their new elementary school addition and renovation project this week. The project was delayed, but only slightly. Elementary Principal Craig Bahr says it’s pretty exciting to see dirt finally moving and progress being made.
It was a year ago when Lake Park-Audubon voters approved a $21.6 million building referendum to move forward with this elementary project, along with another $1.3 million for high school career and technical education updates. Principal Bahr notes that it’s more than the school families who are invested in the project, but the whole community is excited to be apart of it as well.
Because of the construction, the road to the west of the LPA Elementary in Audubon will be closed.
