Lake Park-Audubon School Board Approves Final Design for Elementary & Secondary CTE Facility Renovation
Audubon, MN — The Lake Park-Audubon School Board held their regular monthly meeting on Monday night, February 28th. At the meeting, the board reviewed and approved the final design for the Elementary and Secondary CTE remodel project. Lake Park-Audubon Superintendent Dr. Tim Godfrey says there were a few design changes from the initial concept following input from stakeholders, but they can now move on to the next phase.
The board also approved a Long-Term Facilities Maintenance Plan for the High School building. While that building is relatively new, Superintendent Godfrey says they still need to stay on top of potential maintenance needs as it ages.
The Lake Park-Audubon School Board also had some discussion about what to do with the house adjacent to the Elementary. Dr. Godfrey says that’ll need to be moved or torn down ahead of the upcoming remodel.
And under staffing items, the board approved hiring a full-time Business Manager and posting for an Assistant Principal and a District Title 1 Coordinator Instructional Coach position.
The Lake Park-Audubon School Board also approved their 2022-2023 School Calendar, which will feature one early release date per month to be used for staff professional development.
