Lake Park-Audubon School Board News & Notes
Lake Park, MN — The Lake Park-Audubon School Board held a special meeting on Thursday, August 25th to conduct their regular business as they were unable to fill a quorum earlier in the week. The board agreed to move forward with rebidding masonry and concrete bids for their Elementary expansion as well as reject their fire suppression bids, according to Lake Park-Audubon Superintendent Dr. Tim Godfrey.
Dr. Godfrey adds that they plan to break ground on the new addition in just a couple of weeks.
The Elementary addition will be completed sometime in the summer or fall of 2024.
Also at this past week’s meeting, the Lake Park-Audubon School Board agreed to purchase a new sound system for the football field, which they hope to have in place before the first home game.
And the board approved a bus contract with Anderson Bus and Coach out of Frazee and will continue to recruit for new bus drivers.
The Lake Park-Audubon School Board also approved a resolution calling for general election, approved bread, milk, and fuel bids, and approved a contract with Stelher Mental Health Therapy Services.
