Lake Park-Audubon School Board News & Notes from February 27th Meeting
Lake Park, MN — The Lake Park-Audubon School Board held their most recent regular monthly meeting last Monday, February 27th where they discussed their operating levy, final strategic plan, and more. The school board has been working on revising their strategic plan for the past year to better meet the needs of students and support their future success. Lake Park-Audubon Superintendent Dr. Tim Godfrey says the board took the final step in approving that strategic plan at their most recent meeting.
Also as part of their new strategic plan, the Lake Park-Audubon School Board approved a proposal to assist in adopting a new communications plan as well.
With the district’s operating levy set to expire after this year, Dr. Godfrey had some discussions with the board about renewing that and possibly increasing the levy, pending what happens in the legislature.
And the LPA School Board recently hired a new Ag teacher and FFA Advisor, but because they haven’t had an FFA program in a while, the board approved increasing the pay scale from where it was before.
The Lake Park-Audubon School Board also approved a Turf Maintenance agreement with the Lakes Area Turf Services.
