Lakewood Health’s 4th of July Firecracker 5K
With the 4th of July coming up, there’s many places to go to celebrate the festivities and many events being held. Events like the Firecracker 5k being held by the Lakewood Health Center in Baudette! We had the opportunity to talk to Danielle Abel from the center about the event happening at Timber Mill Park.
This is a race that has a long history and has been going on a long time.
And it’s a fundraiser?
Mrs Abel was then asked if Lakewood has any money goals with the 5k.
And there’s other activities offered alongside the race for attendees to enjoy.
She also makes sure to tell us the route of the 5k.
Danielle Abel then reminds us of the $35 registration fee.
So Mrs Abel also gives us her contact information for anyone with questions about the 5k, as she is the person in charge of the event.
We were curious to ask her how long she’s been working at the Lakewood Health Center.
And this event gets help from many many people both volunteers and staff.
She gives us another fun fact about Lakewood’s involvement with the race.
Danielle also talked about the other events happening in Baudette for this 4th of July week.
And in case you were wondering, yes there will be medals.
So stop on by the Lakewood’s Health Center on July 4th at Timber Mill Park! The registrations for the 5k open at 7:30am with the race beginning at 8:30am and the registration is $35.
