In Littlefork-Big Falls, the Vikings Boys Basketball team began their five game homestand last night against Northome-Kelliher Mustangs. They would dominate at home against the Mustangs winning 88-63 with dominant performances from Tommy Larson with 30 points and Jax Sullivan with 20 points in the win.

This win serves as a bounce back from a tough defeat at the hands of #1 Cherry last Thursday.

Their next game will be next week Thursday the 23rd against Bigfork to continue their 5-game homestand. That will be followed by Ely on the 24th, and then Tuesday the 28th will be a rematch against Deer River who knocked them out of the playoffs last season.

The homestand will conclude on the 30th against Warroad. Coach Imhof made sure to finish our interview with praise for Tommy.

Speaking of Tommy Larson, he and Jax Sullivan also joined me after the game.

Of course, I had to ask them about the moment in the game where Larson had a behind the back pass to Sullivan to get an assist on a layup.

So what’s the goal for the remainder of the homestand?

Finally, Tommy Larson was asked earlier in the season about reaching the mark of 2,000 career points.
