Leiting vs. Fertile Hearing Canceled

This month’s motion hearing scheduled in the lawsuit involving former Fair Meadow Nursing Home administrator Angie Leiting and the City of Fertile has been canceled.  You’ll remember earlier this month, the original Polk County judge assigned to the case, Jeffrey Remick, recused himself and Judge Anne Rasmusson was assigned to the case.  But in court papers filed Thursday (2/15), Rasmusson’s staff has said the hearing scheduled for February 23 has been canceled and will be rescheduled according to Judge Rasmusson’s availability.

Leiting is suing the City of Fertile, the city-owned Fair Meadow Nursing Home and Fertile Mayor Dan Wilkens over her forced resignation as nursing home administrator last June.  R&J News will continue to follow this story.
