Local veterans encouraged to protect themselves from scams 

Scammers are becoming more engrained in our everyday life, and there always seems to be different ways that they’re trying to steal from you. John Rosenberger of Norman County Veterans Services is warning area veterans and their families about a scam that is trying to take advantage of veterans receiving VA benefits. 

Rosenberger says there are things you can do to protect yourself from these scams.

Veterans with questions about their VA benefits should talk with their County’s Veterans Service Officer or go to the Department of Veterans Affairs website at www.va.gov.
