Lupe’s Tacos wins People’s Choice at Norman County Fair

The 2026 People’s Choice Award, presented by the Ada Area Promotions Committee at the Norman County Fair, was a hometown victory for Lupe’s Tacos. It was an incredibly close vote, with the top four finishers separated by just two votes.

Jesse Vega tells us what winning the award means to the Vega family.

Lupe’s Tacos started in Ada and has been serving family recipes at the Norman County Fair for the past 15 years. Jesse Vega, the second generation of the Vega family to operate the business, says the past few years have brought continued growth, including the addition of a second food truck and the opening of a brick-and-mortar restaurant.

Vega hopes to continue the growth and success for Lupe’s Tacos and the Vega family.

The People’s Choice Award, presented annually by the Ada Area Promotions Committee, is now in its fourth year honoring the favorite food vendor at the Norman County Fair, as selected by fair goers.
