Mahnomen Band & Choir Shines at Sub-Section 30 Music ensemble contest

The Mahnomen Band & Choir Department competed in the Sub-Section 30 Music ensemble contest at Waubun earlier this week, and the students showed out. Mahnomen Music Teacher Jill Bisek says her students saw a lot of success at this year’s competition including a “best of day” award.  

Bisek says the music will not stop, as the Mahnomen Band & Choir both have concerts next week, and she encourages the public to come out and support the arts. 

As for the rest of the school year, Bisek says students will be keeping themselves busy, whether it’s contests, concerts or even a fine arts trip.
