Mahnomen Bans Cannabis Use In Public

MAHNOMEN, MN—Cannabis may now be legal in the White Earth Nation, but using it in public in Mahnomen isn’t.  Monday night, the Mahnomen City Council passed a resolution banning the use of cannabis in public spaces.  Mahnomen City Administrator Taylor Guenther talks about the ordinance.

R&J News asked Guenther if there have been problems with cannabis use in public in Mahnomen.

It was just last week that the sale of recreational cannabis became legal in Minnesota.  The White Earth Nation has opened a dispensary in Mahnomen.
