Mahnomen City Council Meets
MAHNOMEN, MN—At Monday night’s meeting, the Mahnomen City Council accepted a bid for the County State Aid Highways 9 and 10 project. Hough Incorporated (HOWG) of Detroit Lakes had the low bid of $6.4 million. Mahnomen City Administrator Taylor Guenther tells us more.
That $6.4 million bid is below the $7.2 million the City of Mahnomen had budgeted for the project.
Also at Monday’s meeting, Mahnomen resident Mike Engelson addressed the Council with an interesting proposal.
As Guenther said, the dates for Mahnomen’s city-wide cleanup will be announced later. The Mahnomen City Council also heard a presentation from the White Earth Tribal and Community College about its trade school program and the College’s desire to emphasize its building trades curriculum.
