Mahnomen County Commission News & Notes
Mahnomen, MN — The Mahnomen County Commission had some discussions about potential redistricting at their most recent meeting last week. In the aftermath of the most recent census, Mahnomen County Administrator CJ Holl says they will need to make some small adjustments to the districts to match up with population trends.
The Mahnomen County Commission also recently finalized the transition of certain positions, such as the County Auditor, from elected officials to appointed positions, according to Holl.
And at last week’s meeting, the commission heard a pitch from Arvig, who was seeking funding from the county to install fiberoptic internet in various parts of the county. However, Holl says that request was tabled.
Mahnomen County Administrator CJ Holl and County Emergency Manager Ed Snetsinger will join the KRJB Kaleidoscope this coming Monday, April 4th to provide more updates from the county.
