Mahnomen School Board approves 2026/2027 budget & staff hirings 

The Mahnomen School Board approved their 2026/2027 budget at their meeting earlier this week. While some funding is expected to decrease next school year, Mahnomen Superintendent Andrea Simon says the budget is in an okay spot. 

Simon says the board also approved numerous staffing items including the hiring and resignation of staff members. 

Simon says being able to grow their special education program is a big deal, as staffing is always hard to find. 

The Mahnomen School Board will meet next on Monday, July 20 at 6:00 PM in the school board conference room.
