Mahnomen School Board approves hiring of seven new staff members
The Mahnomen School Board approved the hiring of seven new staff members at their meeting on Monday night. Mahnomen Superintendent Dr Andrea Simon says these new hires include the hiring of a new CTE/business teacher and Ojibwe Language teacher, which she says will offer a very valuable experience for their students.
Simon says some of these new hires are filling positions that have been open for a while.
As for other items from Monday’s meeting, Simon says the board also approved an elementary leadership plan, after the resignation of their elementary principal late last year.
Reorganization was also taken up at Monday’s meeting, and Simon says the board had no major changes.
The Mahnomen School Board is scheduled to meet next on Monday, February 16.
