Mahnomen School Board discusses cell phone policy 

The Mahnomen School Board continued their discussions about their cell phone policy at their meeting on Monday night. Mahnomen Superintendent Andrea Simon says the board will continue to explore the potential implementation of the “Yonder Pouch” system. 

Simon says the board also had discussions about their school pool, which is not under operation at this time. 

Simon says the board also approved a number of staffing items, including the hiring of an Elementary Principal. 

The Mahnomen School Board had further discussions about the school calendar for next year, and Simon says the board is looking to start school earlier than usual next year. 

The Mahnomen School Board will meet next on Monday, April 20.
