Mahnomen School Board revises cell phone policy, discusses budget
The Mahnomen School Board made changes to their cell phone policy at their meeting on Monday night. Mahnomen Superintendent Jeff Bisek tells us more about the new policy, and why it was changed.
Bisek said the school board also had a lengthy discussion about the school budget, as there continues to be questions, and concerns about federal funding, which makes up over 15% of the Mahnomen School District’s budget.
Staffing was also a lengthy discussion at Monday’s board meeting, as Bisek says there were multiple resignations, as well as positions that were non-renewed.
Finally, Bisek says the board agreed to a school nursing agreement, with a new partner for the 2025/2026 school year.
Other agenda items included the approval of the 2025/2026 school calendar, administrative reports, and a building update.
