Mahnomen School Board appoints new member 

The Mahnomen School Board met on Thursday to appoint a new school board member after the resignation of Kyle Larson who resigned after moving out of the district. The district had three applicants apply for the position but after the board conducted a forum with questions to the candidates the board decided to appoint Traci Turner to fill the vacant position. 

Turner will remain on the board for the rest of Larson’s term which runs through December 2024.
