McGregor School Board meeting from September 28th
(McGregor, MN) — The McGregor School Board approved a new Dean of Students and got up-to-date progress on the School and Bus Garage Projects during their regular meeting from September 28th at the High School Library.
The Board did give approval for a donation of $200 from the Round Lake Presbyterian Church Ladies Guild for their “Birthday Books” program.
The Board heard from Nexus on the extent of the Bus Garage Project that began recently.
Flooring for School Building Project also has a few items remaining one month into the school year.
The Board did approve the hiring of Jamie Lucas as Dean of Students and Superintendent Brad Johnson provided background information on the hiring.
Superintendent Johnson mentioned in his report about a book fundraiser at the Elementary School.
High School Principal Bob Staska spoke about the success of the changes to the cell phone policy.
The McGregor School Board also approved Rachel Moose as Preschool Assistant and American Indian Education Liaison, and the resignation of Teresa Sefling as Paraprofessional effective September 20th. The hiring of Danny Johnson as 21st Century Lead Instructor and Gifted and Talented Advisor and a leave of absence for Varsity Girls Basketball coach Amy Hawkinson for the 2022-23 season were also approved.
The next meeting of the McGregor School Board is a work session on Monday, October 10th with their regular meeting on Monday, October 24th, both of which will be at 6pm from the High School Library.
