Michael Bolton Appointed to Twin Valley Mayor Seat
Twin Valley, MN — The city of Twin Valley has a new Mayor. The Twin Valley City Council met in a special meeting on Monday night, January 30th to declare a vacancy following the resignation of former Mayor Ben Fall, who announced he would be stepping down from the position after being appointed as Norman County Sheriff. Fall had served on the Twin Valley City Council for a total of 16 years, including 6 years as Mayor. During the meeting, the council voted to appoint Vice Mayor Michael Bolton to the Mayor position. Bolton has served on the Twin Valley City Council for roughly 11 years and will fill out the remainder of the 2-year term.
To fill the seat left open by Bolton, the city council is seeking applications from residents who are interested in the position, which will be up for reelection in the fall of 2024. The council will review the applications, which are available at City Hall, during their next regular meeting on February 13th.
