Minnesota Antiwar Movement Leader Polly Mann Dies At 103
(Minneapolis, MN) — Leading Minnesota antiwar activist Polly Mann has died at age 103. Mann died Thursday at age 103 after suffering a stroke in San Francisco. She was a co-founder of Women Against Military Madness and was active in the group well into her 90s. Mann became active in politics during the 1950s and 60s and worked on McCarthy’s 1968 presidential campaign. WAMM supporters protested at rallies, roadsides, and corporate headquarters.
