Minnesota State Patrol Says Winter Driving Habits Should Still Be in Effect

Minnesota — The calendar says Spring, but the weather is indicating it’s still winter. In the words of Sgt Jesse Grabow of the Minnesota State Patrol…its Sprinter! During this half spring, half winter, road conditions can vary. On Monday morning, troopers responded to several crashes, rollovers, and spinouts in West Central Minnesota after freezing rain made road conditions very icy. Grabow says winter driving rules still apply: Take your time, keep the cruise control off, drive the conditions, and buckle up!

The Minnesota State Patrol is also asking motorists to be aware of closures due to water over the roads and washouts. Check 511mn.org for road conditions throughout the state.
