MN Legislature/Abortion
Earlier this week, Minnesota State Senator Steve Green of Fosston spoke on KKCQ’s Food For Thought program about abortion legislation in Minnesota over the last two years. Green says some protections were removed by Democrats who held the majority in the Minnesota House and Senate.
Green says in this year’s session there was an attempt to get a Constitutional amendment on the ballot protecting abortion, but there was disagreement on whether it should go before voters this year or in 2026. Also, Green says the proposed amendment would have included transgender care and that was a sticking point with some lawmakers.
