MnDOT Report shows that 2022-23 winter was the most severe winter in over a decade

The Minnesota Department of Transportation released their MnDOT Winter Report that highlighted statistics about last winter’s maintenance. According to the report this past winter was the most severe winter in over a decade. The report also showed that the state snowfall average was 90.2 inches. The snowfall average in 2021-22 was 63 inches for comparison. The report also stated that 260,380 tons of salt, and 14,144,434 gallons of brine were used on Minnesota roads while over 800 snow trucks drove 30,027 lane miles.
