Muskie Football Preseason Interview
The Muskie football team is gearing up for a new season, and they’ll be entering the 2024-2025 season as defending WHSFL Division AAA Champs. August 15th was their final day of preseason work as they had began a Speed & Strength Training camp in late July, and ran till the 15th of August. I had the opportunity to talk to Assistant Head Coach Jacob about the camp and how he thinks it’s been going.
And there was one thing the coaches were looking for in the preseason.
So what’s the goal for the upcoming fall season?
And with that week one game, what’s the mindset they want to have to achieve that goal?
In the case of roster, Coach Jacob was asked about the depth chart and how many new and returning players there are.
He then lists off some players who have already been stepping up.
Coach Jacob also gave plenty of encouragement to friends and family to show up and cheer on for the team.
And when asked about a game he’s looking forward to, his answer was immediate.
I then got to speak to some of the players on this Muskie Football team.
So what’s something that they’re looking forward to this fall?
The players were then asked about some of the newer guys who are stepping in.
Then, I asked about their personal goals.
When asked about the game they’ve got pinpointed on the schedule, Jackson was in agreeance with Coach Jacob.
And with being the defending champs, is there any pressure?
The Muskies have their equipment fitting for the players is August 18th from 11-5, and practices start Monday August 19 from 6-8pm and then at 3:30 when school starts. Their first regular season game is on September 6th at home against John Taylor.
