No Mashed Potato Wrestling In Barnesville At Potato Days

BARNESVILLE, MN—One of the popular events at Barnesville’s Potato Days won’t be taking place this weekend.  Potato Days executive director Missie Goheen tells us why there won’t be mashed potato wrestling this year.

Even with mashed potato wrestling off the schedule, there are still many fun events involving spuds at Barnesville’s Potato Days.  There’s a french fry feed on Friday from 5 to 7pm, potato car races–cars made from potatoes–starting at 6:30 Friday night.  Saturday morning, there’s a potato picking contest at 9am, a potato scramble at 10:15, a potato peeling contest at 3pm and a mashed potato eating contest Saturday at 4pm.  There’s more information on Barnesville’s Potato Days at potatodays.com.
