Northwest Minnesota Burn Restrictions 

The Norman County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind us that many of the surrounding counties are in a burn restriction through Sunday, September 3. From now through Sunday open burns in any capacity are not allowed. This is due to extremely high fire weather conditions. Any fires that start could quickly become large and out of control.

The following counties are also in a strict no open burning restriction. 

Norman County 

Clay County 

Becker County 

Otter Tail County 

Pennington County 

Marshall County

Roseau County 

Kittson County 

Beltrami County
