Norman County East School Board Takes Care of Beginning of the Year Business
Twin Valley, MN — The Norman County East School Board held their first meeting of the 2023 calendar year on Tuesday morning, January 10th in the Media Center. Per usual at the January meeting, Norman County East Superintendent Rob Nudell says they held their board reorganization and approved the annual appointments and designations with no major changes from last year.
Ross Opshal will continue on as Chair of the School Board, Tina Lecy as Vice Chair, Sarah Kjono as Treasurer, and Jason Douville as Clerk.
The school board also received a detailed presentation from a pair of students who were requesting permission for an overnight Senior Trip later this spring.
The Norman County East School Board also accepted a $1000 donation from Wild Rice Electric to help pay for student lunches and approved hiring Colton Bakkila as a Junior High Baseball Coach. The next board meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 14th at 7:30am.
