Norman County East Seeing Success in Revival of FFA & Ag Program
Twin Valley, MN — It’s been around a decade since the Norman County East School has had their own FFA program and Ag offerings for students, but it’s back in full force this year and already thriving thanks in part to their ambitious new Ag Instructor Jordyn Newburg. Newburg says it’s been quite the undertaking starting an Ag FFA program essentially from scratch.
Newburg adds that the community and the school has been very supportive of her as she continues to build up the Ag and FFA program in its first year.
And the FFA program is already accomplishing some big goals. Newburg congratulates their wildlife team on advancing to the state competition this year.
The Norman County East FFA Team is hosting a pulled pork fundraiser prior to Friday night’s varsity basketball in Twin Valley to raise money for the program. The cost is $10 for adults and $7 for 12 and under. The meal includes pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, potato salad, potato chips, desert bar, and a drink.
