Norman County Fairgrounds and Raceway installing Fiber Optic Internet 

The Norman County Fairgrounds and Raceway is currently having fiber optic internet installed. Fair Board President Don Merkens says the project could help open the door to new projects and innovations at the fair. 

Norman County Raceway manager Jake Bitker says the fiber optic project will be a great benefit to the race track as well, especially when the World of Outlaws make their first appearance at the track this June. 

Bitker says once the fiber optic internet is installed, the goal is to then start working on a plan to offer free WI-FI to fair and race attendees. 

Bitker and Merkens expect the project to be completed by the end of the week. Arvig is the company installing the fiber optics.
