Norman County Soybean & Corn Growers Donate $500 to Reach for Spirit of Giving
Ada, MN — The Norman County Soybean and Corn Growers Association met with representatives from REACH on Thursday to hand deliver a $500 donation to help those in need this holiday season. The donation will go towards REACH’s Spirit of Giving Program, which provides Thanksgiving and Christmas meal baskets to families as well as gifts for children at Christmas. Corey Hanson, Norman County Corn & Soybean Growers President, says he believes its their job as farmers and producers to ensure local families are taken care of during the holiday season.
Not only is the demand for assistance up this year, with REACH anticipating a need for roughly 150 food baskets this Christmas, but so are prices. REACH Executive Director Jill Ambuehl says this $500 donation is greatly appreciated and will be put to good use.
REACH, or Rural Enrichment and Counseling Headquarters, is a human services agency with locations in Hawley and Hendrum that serves individuals and families in rural Clay and Norman County. For more information on how you can help this holiday season, visit ruralenrichment.org.
