Norman County Youth Diversion Program seeing early success 

Late last year Norman county and the county’s schools and law enforcement agencies kick started a brand new diversion program to help the county’s youth be pointed in the right direction and keep them out of the court system. Norman County Attorney Elizabeth Brainard was one of the people who helped kick start this program and she says she is very happy with how things are going so far. 

Agencies with representation on the diversion program board include but is not limited to Norman County Social Services, Norman County Sheriff’s Office, County Attorney’s Office, Norman Mahnomen Public Health, Ada Police Department, Twin Valley Police Department, Ada Borup West School District, and the Norman County East School District.
