Will Heilman picks up the win for the Storm in the opening round of the North Dakota State A Legion Tournament in Casselton from Valley Process Technologies Field.

Eli Emenith went 3-3 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored in the Jets opening round win for Fargo. Harper Schultz added 2-run homer and went 2-3 from the plate with 3 RBI and Christian Gomez picked up the win, giving up 1 run on 3 hits, 3 walks and 8 strikeouts in 5 innings of work.

The Jets play Devils Lake in the winners bracket game at 5 p.m. on Friday. The Bismarck Reps play the Bismarck Senators in an elimination game on Friday at 11 a.m.

KINDRED 10 MINOT METROS 0 (5-innings)

Kindred jumped on Minot with 4 runs in the bottom of the first inning, capped by a Fisher Johnson 3-run homer to right field.

Eli Maack picked up the win, giving up 2 hits with 2 walks and 11 strikeouts in 5 innings of work.

CASSELTON 4 VALLEY CITY 3

Casselton held on for an opening round win over Valley City on Thursday night. Keagan Peterson hit an RBI double in the top of the 7th inning giving Casselton a 4-2 lead.

Andrew Sykora hit a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh to cut the lead to 4-3. Valley City loaded the bases and Jack Samuelson hit a line drive out to the shortstop Jack Everson to finish the game.

Casselton plays Kindred at 7:30 on Friday in the winners bracket and Valley City plays Minot at 1:30 in an elimination game.
