Number of Big Project Lie Ahead for City of Lake Park
Lake Park, MN — The Lake Park City Council held their regular monthly meeting on Monday night, July 11th. At the meeting, the discussed some plans to fix a number of their roads throughout the town that are desperate need of repair. Lake Park City Administrator Lonnie Nuener says while they figure out their best course of action for a long term solution, they are going to temporarily resurface a few of the worst roads to get them by in the meantime.
At the same time, the city of Lake Park is looking into a water treatment facility rehab project, according to Nuener.
And the council is continuing to explore options on how to repair their pool, which is closed this summer for the first time in more than four decades. Neuner notes that they do have a committee formed to help with that process and they recently hired an individual to try to find where it is leaking.
The biggest challenge facing the Lake Park pool repairs will be how to finance it. Nuener adds that while there are grants and donations that could help, the city itself is very much invested in a number of other projects and it may be difficult for them to finance.
The Lake Park City Council meets on the 2nd Monday of each month.
