October is co-op month 

October is national co-op month, and people are encouraged to celebrate the work, and their area cooperatives do for the community every day. Colleen Landkamer of the USDA tells us more about national co-op month and explains why co-ops are worth celebrating. 

Landkamer also spoke on the importance of co-ops when it comes to providing things like power to rural communities, as well as jobs, and other things. 

During co-op the USDA encourages people to join, and learn more about the cooperatives in their communities.
