Oh Canada: Emo Walleye Classic w/ Cindy Keller
On this past Oh Canada Show, Ed had Cindy Keller on the show to talk about a huge event happening May 23rd to 25th. That is the Emo Walleye Classic that will be held on the Rainy River! 32 two person teams have already been sold, and it’s 500 per team to enter. Here’s what Cindy had to say about the teams.
Thursday the 23rd is the boat parade and then the rules at the meeting at the Emo Arena.
Here is some more information from Cindy on the flights and how they’ll work.
There is a food truck and beer gardens sponsored by the Legion and there is a dinner on Saturday night that is 20.00 for adults, and kids under 12 is 10 dollars. Dinner is a Roast Pork, mashed potatoes, corn, salad and a bun. Ed makes sure to ask Cindy more about the meals.
Cindy also mentions some other nice perks that’ll be offered to the fisherman in the tournament, provided by her and the rest of the staff.
First place is over 5,000.00 to the two anglers that have the best weight with 4 allowed walleye per day per boat. The top 7 team win cash prizes and there are other prizes that are sponsored which Cindy Keller tells us about.
The other prizes are:
The Elmer Haglin Memorial- 250 Dolores to the top grandfather or grandmother, fishing with a son or daughter or grandson or granddaughter and top weight after two days and four walleye per day.
Young Anglers award- Two people in boat must be under 50 years old combined age. 500 sponsored by Barker Logging
