Oh Canada: Rose Award w/ Piper Lidkea

Last week, Fort Frances held their Rainy River Festival of the Performing Arts 82nd Anniversary Highlights concert, where they honor all the kids of their achievements throughout the year. The top award given at the event is the Rose Award, also known as the “Rose Bowl”, and this year’s recipient was Piper Lidkea who is a senior at Fort Frances High School. Ed had her as a special guest on this last Oh Canada Show where he first asks her about being in We Will Rock You, the musical that the high school had put on.

So what is the Rose Award?

And she was the one to win it this year, which clearly meant a lot to her as she talks of childhood idols who had won it in the past.

But Piper isn’t just a thespian, but an athlete too as she is on the Muskie Girls soccer team.

So how is the team looking?

Piper Lidkea plans to attend Lakehead University, and she shares her plans with that.
