Open House for Recently Renovated Mahnomen Fire Hall this Saturday
Mahnomen, MN — The City of Mahnomen invites community members to an Open House for their recently renovated Fire Hall this Saturday, May 21st from 10am until 2pm. The city of Mahnomen has invested nearly $2 million into the facility since officially deciding to move forward with the renovations in October of 2020 and now they’d like to show off the facility to public. Mahnomen City Administrator Kari Kirschbaum says the overall project included updating the appearance, adding an additional 2,200 square feet for training and community event space, and renovating the existing space to better suit the needs of the fire department.
The city of Mahnomen partnered with Foss Architecture on the design of the fire hall and Bradburry-Stamn Construction completed the work. Kirschbaum welcomes the public to see the new Fire Hall for themselves this Saturday and enjoy some soup and sandwiches from the Mahnomen-Waubun Lions.
The City of Mahnomen is currently in the process of making other updates to their downtown, including a streetscaping project and updates to the Mahnomen Library and City Hall facilities.
