Palisade man injured as RV tipped in Aitkin area

The Minnesota State Patrol responded to an incident involving an injury on Tuesday evening just outside of Aitkin. 70 year old Richard Wayne Clemons of Palisade was southbound on highway 169 in Spencer Township, just east of Aitkin in Aitkin county, on December 27th. He pulled his 1992 Ford Econoline motor home onto the side of the road to let a semi pass, but the rv tipped onto its side into the ditch. The state patrol reported that the road was snow-and-ice covered at the time of the incident. Clemons was transported to Riverwood Healthcare Center in Aitkin with non-life-threatening injuries. The Aitkin County Sheriff’s Office also helped out at the scene.
