Perham to Host 2026 Northern Minnesota Robotics Championship and Open
High school robotics teams from across northern Minnesota and North Dakota will gather at the Perham Area Community Center (PACC) on October 23 and 24 for the Northern Minnesota Robotics Conference (NMRC) Championship and Open Tournament.
Hosted locally by Perham High School’s Team 3297, the “Full Metal Jackets,” the two-day event brings regional student robotics back to the team’s home community. Admission is free and open to the public.
The action kicks off Friday, October 23, with 28 teams battling in the NMRC Championship. Competitors will put their engineering, programming, and strategy skills to the test in the 2026 FIRST Robotics Competition game, REBUILT. The competition continues Saturday, October 24, with 24 teams taking the field for the NMRC Open Tournament.
Beyond the matches, the conference will honor top contributions to the regional STEM community on Friday by presenting its Volunteer of the Year, Coach of the Year, and Student of the Year awards.
For spectators unable to attend in person, live streaming of both tournament days will be broadcast by R&J Broadcasting at YourLiveEvent.com and on YouTube, with additional coverage provided by the Fargo/Moorhead STEM Alliance on Twitch. Further schedules and details are available at the NMRC website, nmrconference.org.
