Pesticide Container Collection In Hawley

HAWLEY, MN—The Clay County landfill in Hawley is accepting empty pesticide containers this week through Friday.  Shannon Thompson with Clay County Solid Waste says all containers must be rinsed three times before being brought in.

Thompson says containers up to 55 gallons are accepted and this container collection is only for agricultural containers, not residential.  The Clay County Landfill is located at 3301 190th Street South in Hawley….and it’s open from 8:30am to 4pm.
