Pine River couple welcomes first baby of 2023 in Crow Wing County

One Pine River couple had something extra to celebrate for New Year’s Day. Their daughter, Millie, was the first baby born in Crow Wing County in 2023, at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby. Brooke Mower and Brad Huesmann welcomed the 7 pound, 15 ounce little one at 3:19pm Sunday, after a 9 hour labor for her mom. She wasn’t due until January 12th, according to her mother, who said she was surprised at the early arrival. Baby Millie June joins her parents and two older siblings, Bryson and Ellie.
