Polk County Sheriff Talks ATV & Golf Cart Use on County & Township Roads
Fosston, MN — The Polk County Sheriff’s Office has received a number of complaints in recent months in regards to ATV, golf cart, and mini truck use on county and township roads. Polk County has an ordinance that allows their use, however not all townships or towns have adopted it. Polk County Sheriff Jim Tadman states that these vehicles must be licensed and insured and those operating it MUST have a drivers license as well.
And because these vehicles typically move slower than other vehicles on the roadway, Sheriff Tadman adds that they must also have a slow moving vehicle sign and rear view mirror.
