Polk County Sheriffs Office Offers Reminders for Those Heading on Vacation

Fosston, MN — With winter appearing to overstay its welcome this year, it may have people looking for quick getaways to somewhere much warmer. For those heading on vacation, Polk County Sheriff Deputy Robert Haugen offers a few reminders to avoid coming back home and finding you’ve been victim to theft.

Polk County Sheriff Jim Tadman also emphasized the importance of not announcing your departure to the world and perhaps having a close friend or relative keep a close eye on your place while you are gone.

If you’d like to post pictures of your fabulous vacation, it’s recommended that you do so after you return home safely.
